📍 5417 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario
E has always been telling me about this little café spot and we’ve never had the chance to go in together because we are usually so full from the meal before but we made it this time!! Pastel Creperie & Dessert House on Yonge and Finch look big from the outside (along with their patio), however, there are only 3 booths inside. We went around 1-2pm on a weekday, so it was fairly quiet and it was perfect for a catch-up.
We got the Green Tea Shaved Ice. The shaved ice was very soft and melts in your mouth quickly, leaving you wanting for more. The green tea flavour wasn’t too sweet nor bitter and the dessert was a good amount to share between two people. I really loved the oreo bits, the crunch from it gave the dessert more texture. As me and E both disliked red bean, that was left untouched.
We also ordered a Green Tea Latte and a Cafe Mocha in hopes that they would make super cool latte art as E received a Totoro latte art in her hot chocolate when she previously came here. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any intricate latte art for our drinks, but the service was great and we had a good time.
It does get very busy when it is after school just because it’s a nice quiet spot where you can study at and it’s slightly off-site where most of the restaurants are at the Yonge and Finch area. I would suggest coming before the rush as seatings are very limited. However, the workers are friendly and service was pretty good, I’d come here again to try more of their menu and perhaps to sit on the patio during the warmer season.
Till next time, ♥
