With the cold weather now, sometimes delivery is a better choice than going out for dinner. You’re warm, toasty and comfortable in your own home. Also with the technology of online delivery, it is super easy to figure out your food options and customizing orders!
The Swiss Chalet website was easy to maneuver around to look at the deals and options you want. You can either pay cash, debit or credit but paying via debit/credit requires an extra charge I think because they have to bring the machine whatnot.. I usually pay cash for deliveries.
The closest Swiss Chalet delivery would be auto from your home address. They said that the delivery would arrive at 7PM, and we ordered around 6PM. An hour is a fair amount of wait time, considering they make chicken dinners and stuff instead of fast food like pizza or KFC.

To my surprise, the delivery only took 25-30 minutes! The delivery man rang the doorbell around 6.25 – 630PM, and I was happy because I was starting to get hungry..
Some deliveries online would state clearly that you would need to pay service charges or delivery fees, Swiss Chalet didn’t state any extra fees besides the food bill but we still paid the delivery guy enough for tips.
Swiss Chalet is also very specific when it came to the side orders, which I love!! Too many options can be annoying to some individuals, but I loved it because the way the website was organized made it easy to read as well.
For example, your mash potato side order can have: (based on what I remembered)
1) Gravy
2) Gravy on the Side
3) No Gravy
Swiss Chalet Online also asks if you need utensils, their special chalet sauce and a column for you to indicate whatever else you may need.

We got the Family Pak deal – which consists of a whole chicken (which you can choose to be cut into halfs or quarters), 4 sides and 4 types of bun/bread. Sides consists of fries, poutine, mashed potatoes, baked potato, coleslaw, rice, and more! The buns only come in white roll, multi-grain roll, garlic bread or no roll – but no roll is a dumb choice imo… You’re paying for the bread, you might as well get a bread. Oh, and their special chalet sauce as well!
We went with cutting the chicken into quarters, our sides include 2 mashed potatoes with gravy on the side, 1 baked potato, and 1 coleslaw, and we all got garlic bread 🙂 !

We’ve decided to add a side of cheese perogies as well (top right of the photo) :3
L loves cheese perogies, and I’m starting to like it too! The cheese perogies are stuffed with cheese (duh) and potato, and cajun sour cream or regular sour cream is available to go with your perogies!
A quarter chicken sounds little, but it turns out to be very filling, especially with the sides and with our cheese perogies appetizer… I’m usually quite picky about coleslaw, but I’m definitely loving the coleslaw from Swiss Chalet!!
This is a quick, easy and super filling option for you and your family if you’re lazy to go out and the weather is getting colder now…
Till next time, ♥
