Jack’s Place 🍴

Jack’s Place is a pretty well-known restaurant in Singapore. They have many locations, but somehow, I think that their reputation has been dying down due to many other hot spots that are popping up all over Singapore. Yet, Jack’s Place still holds a special place in my heart.

Lunch specials always steal my heart, so that’s what we went for again!
Lunch specials at Jack’s Place all come with garlic bread, soup of the day, dessert and coffee or tea… Lunch specials, am I right?

Garlic bread served in a basket to accommodate everyone. Soup of the day was a creamy tomato soup… can’t be sure what it is. But it tasted great! Especially with garlic bread on the side.

Fish and chips came first on the table. The portion was smaller than I thought, but it still filled me up. I thought they’ll give more fries, but the fish looked pretty good.

The rest of us ordered the Steak Lunch Special. The steak was leaner and not that thick, which was alright with me because it was for lunch. Again, I wished they had provided more fries because they were pretty good. The cutting of the fries were different which added a playful spin on the presentation.

I have completely blanked out and didn’t take picture of my dessert but I remembered having tea for my drink and they provided cream on the side.

In terms of service, nothing extraordinary, average service but it took long to grab the bill. Washrooms here are pretty nasty… but what can you do?~

Overall, it was a good experience – more on the fact that the lunch special was a great meal since they provide a lot for that price and you definitely get comfy once you sit in the booths.
