Chye Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice 🍖🍚

📍 Kebun Baru Food Centre, Blk 226H Ang Mo Kio Street 22, #01-10, Singapore

After a 2-3 hour hike at MacRitchie Trails, time for some food! We reached the hawker centre about 11AM – 12PM, and not much was open at that time… So we all just settled for chicken rice.

We ordered from Chye Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice, and there was no line when we ordered. Midway of eating, they started to get busy with about 4-5 people waiting to order. Guess we picked a good store! Hahaha

One plate of rice per person, and we ordered a half chicken of steamed and roasted chicken to share within 6 people. It came with complimentary soup, as well as chili sauce and some type of sweet black sauce (which I loveee!!).

Mmmm got hungry…

Steamed chicken came first, followed by the roasted chicken after.

Honestly, both styles of chicken taste super amazing. But if I had to pick, I’d probably pick the roasted chicken because the skin texture is slightly crunchier than the steamed chicken. But both are amazing – definitely a must-have while you’re in Singapore! Try both to see which one you like better 🙂

Qoo White Grape Flavour

In this heat and all that hiking earlier, ordering a cold drink is a definite must.

This is Qoo’s White Grape flavoured drink, extremely cute can packaging and has about 3 different designs from what I remember… Refreshing and on the sweet side, it added the final touch to my meal.

Till next time, ♥
