Happy late Thanksgiving!
It is also reading week (or study week I suppose) for me. Although it’s a tiny break from school, I still have lots to do because midterm season is right after study week!
I was craving bubble tea, so I ventured out to Tea Shop 168 to get some studying done and to satisfy my bubble tea cravings as well.

On a weekday afternoon, Tea Shop 168 was pretty quiet. I don’t mind since I came by to study and like the quietness. TS168 does play music but it didn’t bother me when I was doing my work. They also have free Wi-Fi, washrooms and chargers, but the chargers are only in certain spots.
TS168 also has the biggest menu I’ve ever seen! It covered almost half of my table… super super huge but quite unique in my opinion. One side indicated their most popular dishes/drinks, and the other just listed all of the options that they offered.
First, I got Green Apple Green Tea with tapioca. One of the few flavours I get when I’m bored of my usual flavours. The Green Apple flavour isn’t sour (in reference to the actual fruit), but slightly more on the sweeter end because bubble tea always has tons of sugar.

I’m too scared to customize it less sugar incase I ended up not liking my drink since I’m used to not customizing it at all. Most bubble tea places allow you to customize the level of sugar and ice in your drinks now as well!

I also got my usual Lychee Green Tea after because I didn’t feel that adventurous to try new flavours. I asked for less tapioca but they still gave a lot…

& Because I started to feel cold while in the store (probably because of all the bubble tea), I ordered a Chrysanthemum Tea with Honey. I originally thought they were going to provide a tea pot with tea leaves and it was all fancy and stuff because pictures on the menu kind of showed it like that.
But all I got was a tea bag in a cup, hahaha… oh well.
It still tasted good! I mean, I’ve had this before so this drink was also a safe choice for me as well.

As much as I drink bubble tea, I always go for the same few old flavours.
I’ve always shared milk tea with people because I’m not sure my stomach can handle it and fear for the consequences…
What are your favourite or go-to bubble tea flavours?
Pssst, TS168 recently closed down for renovations, so come back and check out their improved place when they reopen on November 4th!
Till next time, ♥
