📍 3335 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, Ontario
Located at Warden and Sheppard, in the same plaza as McDonald’s and FoodyMart Supermarket, I’ve always passed by Remezzo Italian Bistro and have never walked in… until recently that is.
We were seated quickly and the restaurant was bigger than I thought! I had also envisioned the restaurant to be a little outdated on their decor, but it didn’t look as bad as I had envisioned either.
Bread came up first and they gave us a ton of butter. The bread was warm, which was nice to eat 🙂
I got the Linguini Di Mare, which has tiger shrimp, scallops, and baby clams tossed in a light tomato-basil sauce. I really like my dish, I just wished the clams weren’t so “baby”. Had to look hard to find those. The tiger shrimps were sweet and scallops were plump.
M got the Butternut Squash Ravioli. It’s tossed with caramelized onions, spinach, mushrooms, and roasted peppers in a roasted garlic cream sauce.
She really liked the garlic cream sauce. I had a piece of ravioli and it was stuffed well with ingredients. I was surprised because it seemed like the stuffing tasted like it had meat in it. I liked the garlic cream sauce as well – was creamy and not overpowering on the garlic as well.
L wasn’t feeling pasta and got a Steak instead! I didn’t have a bite of this but the steak didn’t have any sauce on it and they gave really little fries (as you can see) and vegetable sides. Even though it was done right, it was definitely not worth it as we later discussed our meal.
Most of us were craving pasta so it was a spontaneous trip to Remezzo but their pasta quality is good and at a good value! Their serving is huge with about $12-15 (depending on which) and it filled me up without feeling sluggish.
Service here was okay, nothing special or unique but it did take some time to get the bill. I would definitely come back again and perhaps might be my new go-to place for pasta!
Till next time, ♥
