Why I sold my Fjallraven Kanken bag

Not too long ago, I was obsessed with the Fjallraven Kanken bag that I’m sure you have seen around – either in media or on the streets. I bought my bag through ilovemykanken which is now part of the official Fjallraven brand and website. I bought it online as it wasn’t available in stores yet.

There was so many colours available but I was debating against the “Fog” or the “Putty”. In a simple man’s eye, they’re both grey in colour, haha. I ended up with “Fog”. The delivery time actually took really long, about 2 months due to some delivery delays when it was estimated to come within 2 weeks max.

Anyhoo, here’s my Fjallraven Kanken Classic bag in “Fog”.

I loved the bag and the colour when it first arrived. Little did I know that it would end up collecting dust in my room. I actually used this bag when I went to Japan two summers ago.

But then I found out while wearing it more that the boxy shape of the bag didn’t fit my body right and I feel like it’s too big, as I’m quite petite. Perhaps if I had chosen the Laptop 13″ size instead of the Classic, it might have fit better.

I had done research about the straps and it wasn’t supposed to hurt but it felt uncomfortable to me everytime I wore the bag. I also didn’t like how floppy and unstructured the bag was in person. In pictures, it always looks so structured. I just simply didn’t like my purchase as much as I thought I would. 🙁

It was pure luck and coincidence that someone I knew was looking into this bag and since mine was collecting dust, I sold my bag to her. I really did wanted to like this bag, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be. I find their mini Kanken bags to be really cute though; although I don’t need another small backpack since I already have one, haha.

Till next time, ♥
